Anyway, this past weekend was an epic one. Logged 21 hours of driving: Portland->VT->Hamilton College->Conn College->Hamilton->Boston->Portland. The third-fifth segments were spent in a van with Andrew Root and the rest of the Downbeat Keys crew on route to Floralia, Conn’s epic outdoor music festival/sun blasted sleeveless drinking marathon at which the DBK played a short but sweet set, opening for Talib Kweli, before peacing out back to Hamilton for Gin & Juice, a raucous party thrown in an enormous barn (owned by a man named Jack, coincidentally) 15 mins outside of campus. Serious cow country (my comfort zone). Check the pics below:
